Gerry Sutcliffe has been the Labour MP for Bradford South since 1994.[1]

His Government posts have included: Assistant Whip (HM Treasury) 1999-01, Vice Chamberlain (HM Household) (Whip, House of Commons) 2001-03, Parliamentary Under-Secretary (Trade and Industry) (Employment Relations and Consumer Affairs) 2003-06, Parliamentary Under-Secretary (Home Office) 2006-07, Parliamentary Under-Secretary (Ministry of Justice) 2007, and Parliamentary Under-Secretary (Department for Culture, Media and Sport) (Sport) 2007-10.[1]

In opposition, he has served as a Shadow Minister for Sport in 2010, and for Home Affairs in 2010-11.[1]
