Adrian Wheeler Practice Leader Corporate Communications

Adrian Wheeler, 54, is CEO of GCI UK and chairman of GCI Europe. He specialises in corporate communications and is responsible for GCI’s work in Europe for British Airways, Novartis and Dell.

He was educated at Dulwich College and Clare College, Cambridge. A board member of the Public Relations Consultants Association, he is also a Fellow of the Institute of Public Relations and a member of the Marketing Society.

Wheeler is a member of GCI’s global board and lectures throughout the world on issues & crisis communications, managing integrated communications across borders, and research & evaluation. biog spacer Rhonda joined GCI in 2002 after over 10 years experience running her own consultancy specialising in health, social care and housing public relations and communications. Rhonda’s experience has focused particularly on issues, diseases and clinical and care practice that affect the mature sector of the population. Rhonda’s cross sector working is particularly relevant to current government and departmental initiatives such as the National Service Framework for Older People and Supporting People. Working with government departments during the International Year of Older People has given Rhonda a keen insight into current thinking and practice within the Department of Health. Her particular speciality is developing and managing partnerships across sectors and professional areas with commercial involvement and support. She is working with 12 GCI offices across the EMEA region to implement successful PR campaigns for this blue-chip client. In previous lives, Nicola has worked in UK specialist hi-tech PR agencies Text 100 and Bite, as well as in-house at Oracle and content management specialist Vignette, where she held a pan-EMEA remit covering eight countries. Nicola’s expertise includes media relations, analyst relations, corporate and trade PR campaigns, customer reference programmes and VIP management, as well as international PR management and implementation. Nicola has a BSc (Honours) degree in Psychology from the University of London.
