It is a project of MIMS Consumer Health Group which is a division of the global healthcare publishing company, UBM Medica.[2] Westwick was the Editorial Director at Excerpta Medica Australia in 2000, around the time the publisher started getting paid by drug companies to produce journals which an article in the life sciences magazine, The Scientist, called "fake".[3][4]
