David Makovsky is a senior WINEP fellow and former executive editor of pro-Likud Jerusalem Post. His brother Michael Makovsky was a member of the Office of Special Plans which produced the defective intelligence to justify the Iraq War. Both brothers took up Israeli citizenship after finishing their education in the US.[1] In 2009 Makovsky coauthored Myths, Illusions, and Peace: Finding a New Direction for America in the Middle East with Dennis Ross.
