The Cooler Heads Coalition was formed on May 6, 1997, "to dispel the myths of global warming by exposing flawed economic, scientific and risk analysis[1]." It runs the web-site golbalwarming.org, that is paid for and maintained by Consumer Alert, whose Director Fran Smith sits on the CEI Board and who is the wife of Fred Smith, the President of CEI.
