Colin Low (Lord Low of Dalston) was made a life peer in the House of Lords in July 2006. [1] Low is a crossbench member in the Lords.

Low was appointed a CBE in the 2000 New Year Honours for services to the Royal National Institute of Blind People and disabled peoples' rights.

History

He was educated at Oxford University (BA) and at Cambridge University (Diploma in Criminology). Low went on to be a lecturer in the Faculty of Law at the University of Leeds from 1968 until 1984 and later held a research post at City University London until 2000.
