Government-industry initiative, chaired by Ineos director Tom Crotty.

Purpose: 'the sector partnership will enable Government and industry to work together over the long term to address the key challenges and opportunities for the chemical sector. The Partnership comprising business leaders from the chemical sector has agreed to pursue key work themes around energy, innovation and supply chains in order to achieve its vision of a 50 per cent growth by the year 2030'

Activities

Documents released in April 2017 revealed that the initiative, led by Ineos, was pushing the government to use Brexit as a chance to exempt the chemicals sector entirely from climate policy costs. [1]
