Johnny started half-a-dozen other PR companies, married and divorced many times, made two fortunes and lost them both, was declared bankrupt and probably made as many enemies as he did friends.[1]

BA Dirty Tricks

Basham worked for British Airways as part of its 'dirty tricks' campaing against Virgin Atlantic. They targeted Richard Branson, who:

claimed that BA's PR consultant, Brian Basham, had been undermining him and his company's reputation in the City and the press. Mr Branson confronted BA's non-executive directors about these "sharp business practises" in an open letter. They dismissed the allegations and said he was simply seeking publicity. [2]
