Bob Kerslake

Robert Kerslake, known as Bob Kerslake,was acting Head of the Home Civil Service until September 2014, having succeeded Sir Gus O'Donnell, the former Cabinet Secretary, at the end of 2011.[1]

He also served as Permanent Secretary to the Department for Communities and Local Government from September 2010 until February 2015.[2]

On the 19 March 2015, Kerslake was appointed as a Life Peer in the UK Parliament's House of Lords. [3]

Life Outside Politics

After leaving his roles as Head of the Home Civil Service and Permanent Secretary to the DCLG, Lord Kerslake took on a number of new roles outside government. In September 2015, the ACOBA approved his request to set up an independent consultancy called Endcliffe Services, which provides management services to local government and the health sector.
