The Bernard Sunley Foundation is a philanthropic body who give grants to charitable institutions. The principal areas of interest of the Foundation are defined as being 'within the United Kingdom with the majority of grants assisting community projects, the disadvantaged and where there is a focus on environmental issues'[1]. The foundation are classified as a patron of the UK's only private university the University of Buckingham, patron status is given to those who donate £100,000 or more to the university<ref>.Cite error: The opening <ref> tag is malformed or has a bad name.
