Angela Rayner has been the Labour Party Member of Parliament for Ashton-under-Lyne since May 2015. [1]

Rayner replaced David Heyes, the Labour MP for Ashton-under-Lyne since 2001, when he retired in March 2015. [2] In the 2015 general election Rayner retained the seat for Labour with a majority of 10,756. [3]
