All-Party Parliamentary Nuclear Group

The All-Party Parliamentary Nuclear Group was set up in Febraury 2003 to "to encourage and facilitate discussion among MPs and Peers from across the political spectrum with an interest in nuclear issues, and to provide a forum for the exchange of information and views between parliamentarians and representatives of the nuclear and energy industries". [1]

The current officers of the Group are:

John Robertson MP – Chair Michael Connarty MP – Secretary David Drew MP – Assistant Secretary Lord Jenkin of Roding – Vice Chair Lord McNally – Vice Chair Lord Christopher – Vice Chair Jimmy Hood MP – Treasurer

The administration of the Group is undertaken by Miranda Kirschel of the Nuclear Industry Association (NIA), organising the Group’s programme of events, arranging speakers, venues, and appropriate visits for the Group.
