Teaching About Terrorism is a 2009/10 research project funded by C-SAP, one of the Higher Education Academy's subject networks. The project aims to research the extent and nature of teaching about terrorism in UK Universities, primarily in the disciplines of Sociology, Politics and Criminology[1].

- The University maintains excellent and ongoing communication with the Police and a number of community groupings both within and outside the University and we jointly maintain a high level of vigilance against the prospect of violent extremism. We are currently progressing a bid for funds to assist in the further development of policies and training in this area.[2]
