Lobbying scandal

Ian Paisley Jr resigned from his post as a minister in the Northern Ireland Executive at Stormont in February 2008 after revelations that he was employed as a research assistant by his father and received a salary from the UK Parliament.[1] In August 2008 the complaint which led to his resignation was dismissed.[2]
