David Cohen is a former CIA officer.

He served as the CIA's Deputy Director for Operations from 1995 to 1997.[1]

Cohen became deputy commissioner for intelligence at the New York Police Department after the Sept. 11 attacks, and turned to his former agency for counterterrorism staff. The inspector general’s office of the CIA, which is not permitted to engage in domestic surveillance, began an investigation in August 2011 after The Associated Press published an article about the agency’s relationship with the Police Department’s intelligence division.[2]
