Nordostschweizerische Kraftwerke AG (NOK) owns two of Switzerland's 5 nuclear reactors, which together generate around 40% of the country's electricity. [1] Beznau-1 (opened in 1969) and Beznau-2 (opened in 1971) - are both 365MW Pressurised Water Reactors (PWRs).

NOK is part of the Axpo group.

Axpo and NOK are members of the European Atomic Forum (Foratom).

Mox enthusiast

Beznau has been receiving MoX fuel from the Sellafield MoX plant. [2]

NOK is a member of the European Atomic Forum.
