Jon Phillips is the former head of communications for Heathrow Airport and in 2005 he was hired by the Nuclear Decommissioning Authority, for a salary of well over £70,000 a year to manage its PR. Phillips will have a deputy and nine other press officers working under him. Previously he led the British Airports Authority's successful campaign for a fifth terminal at Heathrow despite furious public opposition.[1]
