‘Frank’ and ‘public relations’ are not always words that have sat comfortably with each other. Frank PR, since it was founded in September 2000, has attempted to make the phrase come together, practising an honest, open and down-to-earth approach that is getting tongues wagging within the industry and generating outstanding and award-winning, results. At the most recent PR Week Awards ceremony (October 2003), Frank PR came home with the industry’s top honour: the Gold Award for the Campaign of the Year, for its creation and execution of a campaign for Nickelodeon. It also won the PR Week Award for the best Marketing Communications: Consumer campaign. Frank PR has pioneered a unique approach to how it goes about “doing PR.� The consultancy believes that the key to marketing communications in this day and age is the ability to break through the clutter by stimulating positive word-of-mouth endorsement for brands, products and services. Frank calls that resulting buzz that is created Talkability® and has developed a proprietary process and methodology that it employs to engineer it. The word itself is now even a registered trademark of the agency.
