Arrest in Spain
- Exiled Equatorial Guinean politician Severo Moto has been arrested on charges of arms trafficking, Spanish judicial sources said on Tuesday.
- Moto, who is also wanted in Spain's oil-rich former African colony on suspicion of involvement in an attempted coup in 2004, leads a self-styled government-in-exile in Spain, where he was granted asylum in 1986.
- His arrest on Monday night in Toledo, near Madrid, came after police found weapons stashed in a car boot on March 6 in the southeastern port of Sagunto.[1]
