Papua New Guinea - Operation Contravene
In 1997, the Government of Papua New Guine hired Sandline to retake the Panguna mine on rebel island of Bougainville. Military opposition to the plan led to the overthrow of the government and the arrest of Sandline chief executive Tim Spicer.[1]
