Chris Skinner is one of the founding members of ShapingTomorrow, and provides independent consulting on sales, marketing, branding and technology strategies for banks and insurers through the firm Balatro. The focus of Balatro falls into two primary areas:
  • advising financial institutions on the future of technology usage and consumer segmentation
  • advising technology vendors on strategies to market within financial institutions.
Chris is known on conference platforms as an exceptional speaker on the future of financial services and presents at many of the world's leading banking conferences, such as BAI's Retail Delivery in the USA and Channels Middle East in the UAE. He also writes a regular column in the Financial Times Publications, and contributes to other media including the BBC. Chris's background covers 20 years in technology and financial services. Chris was Vice President of Marketing and Strategy for Unisys Global Financial Services, and previously Strategy Director with NCR Financial Services. These roles sparked Chris's specialization in the future of business, after he created the Global Future Forum in Unisys and the Knowledge Lab in NCR.[1]
