UK Friends of Standing Together (UKFOST) is a British charity established to support the work of Standing Together, a grassroots Jewish-Arab movement in 'Israel' advocating for peace, equality, and social justice.
Activities
UKFOST raises funds and awareness in the UK for Standing Together's campaigns against occupation, for equality, and for a just resolution to the Israeli-Palestinian conflict. It maintains an active presence on social media through accounts such as @UK_FOST and @omdimbeyachadUK.
Relations with BDS movement
The BDS National Committee has criticised Standing Together and its UK Friends, viewing the movement's approach as insufficiently confrontational toward Israeli policies. BDS advocates argue that Standing Together's emphasis on Jewish-Arab partnership within Israel and focus on internal social justice issues normalises the occupation and diverts attention from the need for full accountability, boycott, divestment and sanctions against Israel until it complies with international law and Palestinian rights.[1]
