Jake Sharpstone is a British Green Party of England and Wales activist and member of Jewish Greens. He stood as the Green Party candidate for the Westdene & Hove Park ward in the 2023 Brighton & Hove City Council elections (unelected).[1]
Jewish Greens and policy work
Jake Sharpstone is an active member of Jewish Greens. In 2025 he was one of the co-proposers (alongside Andrée Frieze, Elise Benjamin, Mark Strong and Robert Davis) of an amendment to the motion titled “Recognition of Israeli ‘Apartheid’, Israel’s ‘Genocide’ and Supporting the BDS Movement in Communications”. The amendment was ruled Out of Order by the Standing Orders Committee (SOC) on the grounds that it tended to negate the original motion.[2]
