Nick Levine is a British Green Party of England and Wales activist and retired computer programmer based in Cambridge. He serves as a Non Portfolio Officer of Jewish Greens.

Early life and career

Nick Levine grew up in London. He has three adult children. Before retirement he worked as a computer programmer. He has a long history of involvement in small-scale politics and community organising since his teens, including student union work, the Legalise Cannabis Campaign, producing a radical newspaper, living in a housing co-operative, serving as a parish councillor (with emphasis on affordable housing), residents’ association work, and helping organise a free annual music/arts festival in Cambridge.[1]

Green Party involvement

Nick Levine left the Labour Party in 2019 and joined the Green Party of England and Wales in 2024. He is co-coordinator of the party’s Drugs Policy Working Group. In November 2025 he was elected as a Non Portfolio Officer of Jewish Greens.[1][2] In October 2025 he spoke at a Green Party meeting, stating that as a Jew he would “feel threatened” if the party removed its existing antisemitism guidance.[3]

Views

Nick Levine has not made extensive public statements on Zionism. His positions align with the mainstream stance of Jewish Greens, which opposes blanket equations of Zionism with racism while supporting Palestinian rights and criticising specific Israeli government policies.
