Ian Wrigglesworth

Lord Ian Wrigglesworth served as the Labour Member of Parliament for Thornabee and Teeside between 1974 and 1981.
He now serves as a peer in the House of Lords for the Liberal Democrats, succeeding to the peerage on 5 September 2013.[1]
Lord Wrigglesworth was also one of the founding members of the Social Democratic Party(SDP). In 1988, when the SDP merged with the Liberal Party he became the first President of the Liberal Democrats, and until 2012 he held the position of Chairman of the Trustees. He is currently acting national Treasurer to the party. [2]
He is deputy chairman of the Regional Growth Fund Advisory Panel.
