Natascha Engel has been the Labour Party MP for North East Derbyshire since 2005.[1] In the 2015 general election she retained her seat with a majority of 1,883. [2]

Stance on fracking
Engel has an inconsistent voting record on fracking. [3]
- In January 26 2015, she voted for making fracking companies apply for an environmental permit before conducting exploratory drilling. She was absent however for a vote to amend the Infrastructure Bill to include a moratorium on fracking.
- In February 11 2015, she voted against requiring more pre-conditions for where fracking can take place.
- In December 16 2015, she was absent for a vote on allowing fracking to take place in protected areas and national parks.
