Dan Rogerson
Dan Rogerson was the UK Liberal Democrats MP for North Cornwall from 2005 until the May 2015 general election, when he lost his seat to the Conservative Party candidate Scott Mann. [1]
Political career
Rogerson was appointed shadow parliamentary under-secretary in the Department for Environment, Food and Rural Affairs in 2005.[2] His portfolio covered water, forestry, rural affairs and resource management.
Previous roles also include, shadow minister at the office of the deputy prime minister (2005-06), shadow minister for communities and local government (2006-07), shadow minister for culture, media and sport (2007-07), opposition whip (2007-10), shadow minister for communities and local government (2007-10) and parliamentary under secretary at the Department for Environment, Food and Rural Affairs 2013-15 [3]
In January 2015 he was appointed to the Liberal Democrat General Election Cabinet as the party's spokesperson on environment, food and rural affairs. [4]
Background
Rogerson graduated from the University of Wales, Aberystwyth, with a degree in politics and went onto work in local government. [5]
