Background
The Mitie Group is a British strategic outsourcing and energy services company. It is listed on the London Stock Exchange and the FTSE 250 Index. Mitie operates mainly in the UK and Ireland and has a growing presence in Europe.
Current activities
Mitie provides infrastructure consultancy, facilities management, property maintenance and energy management services.
In September 2011 it retained and expanded a 5-year contract from January 2012 worth around £200 million to provide facilities management (FM) and energy services to the Cumbrian Collaboration, the group that includes the Sellafield nuclear power station. [1]
