Caroline Dinenage
Caroline Dinenage is the UK Conservative Party MP for Gosport, first elected in May 2010 with a majority of 14,413 votes. [1] In the 2015 general election, she increased her majority to 17,098, winning 55 per cent of the vote. [2]
In April 2014 Dinenage was appointed parliamentary private secretary to education secretary Nicky Morgan. [3]
In May 2015 she was promoted to minister for equalities at the Department for Education, and parliamentary under secretary of state at the Ministry of Justice. [4]
Background
Before entering parliament Dinenage worked at her own small business, a manufacturing company which she set up in a gap year before university. [3]
In 2013 she was also appointed the small business ambassador for the South by prime minister David Cameron. [3] Dinenage is also a member of the business, innovation and skills select committee and is said to use her expertise in business to help her promote small and medium-sized enterprise, UK industry and skills training in Parliament. [3]
