Ian Blackford is the Scottish National Party (SNP) candidate for Ross, Skye and Lochaber in the 2015 general election. [1]
Blackford is battling against Charles Kennedy the Liberal Democrats MP, who has held the constituency seat since 1983. [2] He was only selected to stand for the SNP in this constituency in January 2015, but has previous political experience as national treasurer for the SNP and as a member of the shadow cabinet with responsibility for social security and pensions.
