Claire what's this pdf up load thing you're on about - can't you just cut and paste its URL rather than trying to upload it. I mean if its address was grossartpdf and you wanted it to link with the phrase 'Grossart is dead rich' you would paste that before its title then highlight both the address and the text

highlight that then click on the little world icon above (between Ab and A) and it should link...
