Adrian Sanders has been the Liberal Democrat MP for Torbay since 1997. His parliamentary career has included positions as:Shadow Spokesperson (Communities and Local Government) 1997-01, Opposition Whip (Commons) 1997-01, Shadow Spokesperson (Environment, Food and Rural Affairs) 1999-01, Shadow Spokesperson (Communities and Local Government) 2001-02, and Opposition Deputy Chief Whip (Commons) 2006-10.[1]
