Nick Newbury is the co-founder of travel company Original Travel.
Career
In 2001 three friends Alastair Poulain, Tom Barber and Newbury spotted a gap in the market for a 'high-end short-break operator' and started Original Travel and as of 2014 it has a programme of 67 holidays.
Newbury rejected a job from merchant bank Kleinwort Benson in order to follow his passion for travel and start the company.[1]
Letter to the Telegraph
On 1 April 2015 Newbury was one of 103 business leaders who wrote to the Telegraph praising the British Conservative Party's economic policies and claiming a Labour government would 'threaten jobs and deter investment' in the UK.[2]
