Helen Jones is the Labour MP for Warrington North. [1] Jones has been the member of the Warrington North constituency since 1997.

Parliamentary career

Jones has held a variety of different roles in Westminster since joining Parliament in 1997, including:

  • Shadow minister (Home Affairs) : 2013-
  • Shadow minister (Communities and Local Government) : 2011-13
  • Shadow deputy leader of the House of Commons : 2010-11
  • Opposition whip (Commons) : 2010-10
  • Shadow minister (Justice) : 2010-10
  • Vice chamberlain (HM Household) (Whip, House of Commons) : 2009-10
