British Journal of Criminology
British Journal of Criminology is an academic peer reviewed journal which is described as 'one of the world's top criminology journals. It publishes work of the highest quality from around the world and across all areas of criminology.' [1]
The journal focuses on crime and society but includes articles written from sociological, historical, philosophical, geographical, psychological, cultural, political, or policy standpoints. [1]
All articles within this journal must undergo a peer review process. This means that all articles within this journal are reviewed anonymously and separately by at least two reviewers from the Journal’s Editorial Board or International Editorial Board. The journal also says that 'when there is an insufficiency of relevant editorial expertise to review specific submissions, guest reviewers with the appropriate expertise are invited to review.' [2]
The journal which is published by Oxford Journals was first issued in 1960.
