Graeme Wilson is the UK Government's political press secretary. Wilson was hired by Craig Oliver in August 2013. [1]
Prior to this appointment, Wilson was deputy political editor of The Sun. [2] Wilson will replace Gabby Bertin, who will become director of external relations when she returns from maternity leave. It is felt that Wilson's well- regarded reputation will help to improve Cameron's relationship with the press. [3]
James Forsyth says of Wilson
- “The high regard in which Wilson is held will boost relations between Number 10 and the political print press”. [1]
