Dixons

Dixons is a major electricals retailer. According to the Mail on Sunday:
- Dixons, which includes the Currys, PC World and The Link brands, has already made serious inroads on the Continent.
- In 1999, it bought Scandinavian computer and electrical appliances retailer Elkjop, turning it into the leader in its field in Norway, Sweden and Denmark.
- Dixons has also moved into Hungary and the Czech Republic and last year it paid GBP 230 million for Italian retailer UniEuro. (Mail on Sunday, February 2, 2003)
Affiliations
Dixons Group plc was a donor to the Science Media Centre from April 2003 to October 2004 according to the SMC.[1]
