Rudolf Sonneborn (died 1986) was a US industrialist and leading figure in the American Zionist movement. In 1947, Sonneborn's home was the venue for a gathering at which David Ben-Gurion asked American Zionist leaders to help provide supplies to Jewish community in Palestine and its military arm, the Haganah. Sonneborn led the resulting organisation, Materials for Israel, also known as the Sonneborn Institute.[1]
