- 30 - Discussions on Jackson-Vanik amendment at the White House between Senator Henry Jackson and President Richard Nixon.[4]

- 4 - Senator Henry Jackson introduces Jackson-Vanik Amendment denying trade concessions to countries that do not allow citizens to emigrate.[5]
