General Sir Frank Douglas King. Served as British Army General Officer Commanding Northern Ireland, from February 1973 to August 1975.[1]
General King's command in Northern Ireland coincided with the Ulster Workers Council strike. It was widely believed that he was not anxious for his troops to become involved in strike-breaking activities.[2]
