Trevor Stammers
Dr Trevor Stammers is a moral conservative activist, practicing GP for over 30 years and Programme Director in Bioethics and Medical Law at Queen Mary University College.[1] He was Chair of the Christian Medical Fellowship from 2007 to June 2009[2][3] and is a long time trustee of the Family Education Trust.[4]
In 2010 he presented an edition of the Channel Four series 4though.tv, two minute opinion slots. Channel Four stated that 'Dr Trevor Stammers is a Christian who has been a practising GP for over 30 years. He refuses to personally refer women for abortions and believes there is a growing uneasiness in the medical profession about the vast numbers of abortions performed simply because women see children as a "social inconvenience".'[5]
Stammers was Programme Director of the 2010-11 MA in Bioethics and Medical Law at St Mary's University College, London, TW1. [6]
