Lippencott Williams & Wilkins is an international publisher of professional health information resources for physicians, nurses, specialised clinicians and students. It is one of Wolters Kluwer Health's brands. It publishes almost 300 periodicals and 1,500 books in more than 100 disciplines. It also manages content-based sites and online corporate and customer services.[1]
History
Lippincott Williams & Wilkins started as a small bookstall in Philadelphia bookstall opened by Benjamin Warner and Jacob Johnson in 1792. Almost 200 years later, it was sold to Harper & Row in 1978 and then to Wolters Kluwer in 1990. Under the ownership of Wolters Kluwer, J.B. Lippincott merged with Raven Publishers, and then with Williams & Wilkins, to form Lippincott Williams & Wilkins in 1998.[2]

Lippencott Williams & Wilkins offers health-science books and new media titles and publishes over 275 journals, newsletters and loose-leaf products in specialty fields for physicians, clinicians, and nurses.
