Theo Bertram is a former Downing Street special adviser to prime ministers Tony Blair and Gordon Brown. In August 2010 he was appointed acting head of 02 UK's public affairs on a six-month contract.[1]
Background
Biographical information
Bertram was a communications manager for the Labour Party and then a parliamentary researcher to Parmjit Dhanda, the former Labour MP for Gloucester. He rose up the ranks and was recruited by Tony Blair as head of research and information at Number 10. [2]
Activities
According to PR Week, Bertram "played a key role in helping Brown prepare for the 2010 election TV debates, playing Lib Dem leader Nick Clegg in private rehearsals. The role of Tory leader David Cameron was played by Blair's former press secretary Alastair Campbell."[3]

Affiliations
O2's director of communications and sustainability Glenn Manoff cited the importance of Bertram's four years as a prime ministerial special adviser, and "rich experience, insight and energy during a time when we’re juggling a number of crucial public policy issues."[4]
