Sharif Ali Bin Al Hussein
As of 2001, Sharif Ali was a member of the Leadership Council of the Iraqi National Congress.[1]
On 19 January 2001, Ali wrote to the Evening Standard that "The huge military parade Saddam held in Baghdad recently is further evidence that he has been able to rebuild his war machine with new and refurbished weapons systems."[2]
In February 2001, he said of the decision by the incoming Bush administration to fund INC activity in Iraq "This demonstrates a new level of support by the US Administration."[3]
In the same month, he took part in an INC delegation to Washington along with Ahmad Chalabi and Muhammad Muhammad Ali.[4]Following US airstrikes on Iraq a few weeks later, Ali wrote:"The effective policing of the no-fly zones, which were established in response to a situation of overwhelming humanitarian necessity, is essential to the survival and security of the Iraqi people."[5]
