Susan Molinari
Susan Molinari (born 27 March 1958) is a US lobbyist and a former US Member of Congress. She is CEO of the Washington Group and President of Ketchum.
Education
Susan Molinari was born in New York's Staten Island on 27 March 1958.[1] Her grandfather was the first Italian-American immigrant elected to the New York State Assembly and she was elected to Congress succeeding her father, Guy V. Molinari, who became the Borough President of Staten Island.[2] She graduated from St. Joseph Hill Academy in 1976 and then studied her M.A. at the State University of New York, which she was awarded in 1982.[3]
Early Career and Congress
She subsequently held positions at the New York State senate finance committee, the National Republican Governors Association, the Republican National Committee. In 1986 she became a member of New York City Council.[4] From 20 March 1990 to 2 August 1997 she was a Rrepublican Member of Congress.[5]
Media and lobbying
In 1997 Molinari left Congress to co-anchor CBS News Saturday Morning.[6] From 1999 to 2001 she was President of Susan Molinari LLC and also worked as a contractor for Fleischman-Hillard.[7]
