Aisling Burnand

Mrs. Aisling worked as Business Group Director for the Rowland Company (London based public affairs consultancy with the European Commission, companies in the chemical, pharmaceutical, financial and consumer products sectors as clients). She was also head of international media relations for Rhone Poulenc in Paris and prior to that Public Relations Manager for Rhone Poulenc in the UK. Aisling sits on the Boards of EuropaBio, the UK Clinical Research Collaboration (UKCRC) and the Coalition for Medical Progress (CMP), and is a member of the London Stock Exchange Technology Advisory Group. Aisling is also a member of the Ministerial Industry Strategy Group, Long Term Leadership Strategy, Working Group on Partnership. In June 2007 Aisling was made a Member of The Order of the British Empire (MBE) for her services to science.
