Angus Energy was awarded five oil and gas licence blocks covering about half of the Isle of Wight in 2015 under the Oil and Gas Authority's 14th licensing round in autumn 2015.
It is a partner of UK Oil and Gas Investments. [1] Plans to conduct '2D seismic surveying' and drill five new shale wells.
Activities
Brockham field
In June 2019 Angus Energy announced that the Kimmeridge formation at Brockham in Surrey would not produce commercial quantities from the Brockham X4z well without fracking. As a result, it said it was considering selling the Brockham field. [2]
