Richard Holden is a special adviser to Baroness Stowell, the leader of the House of Lords.
Holden was a Conservative Party candidate in the 2015 general election and has worked for the party in a number of roles.
Career
After graduating from university, Holden joined the Conservative Party. He started as a data administrator and has since worked as a media monitoring officer, duty press officer, political press adviser and deputy head of press.[1]
In 2015 he was selected as the Conservative Party's candidate in Preston for the general election.[2] He won 20 percent of the vote, but finished second to the Labour Party's Mark Hendrick who 56 percent of the vote.[3]
