Michael Gutman
Michael Gutman is the president and chief operating officer of Westfield Corporation.
Career
Gutman joined Westfield Corporation as an executive in 1993, in 1993 he was appointed joint chief operating officer responsible for development, design and construction in Australia and New Zealand. In 2003 he was relocated to the UK as COO of UK and Europe and in this role he oversaw the successful development of Westfield London and Stratford City - two of the largest urban shopping centres in the UK and Europe - and acquired development opportunities in Croydon, south London and Milan, Italy.
Since June 2014 he has served as president and COO of Westfield Corporation and was appointed as an executive director of Westfield Corporation In August 2014.[1]
Westfield have donated money to both the Conservative Party and Labour Party.
Letter to the Telegraph
On 1 April 2015 Gutman was one of 103 business leaders who wrote to the Telegraph praising the British Conservative Party's economic policies and claiming a Labour government would 'threaten jobs and deter investment' in the UK.[2]
