Tom Molnar
Tom Molnar is the co-founder of Gail's Artisan Bakery.
Career
Whilst working at management consultancy, McKinsey, Molnar and colleague Ran Avidan shared a grievance that London lacked a decent fresh loaf of bread. Molnar and Avidan bought the Bread Factory, a wholesaler which supplied some of London's top restaurants but had recently been struggling, to compliment their new business idea. In 2006 the first Gail's Artisan Bakery opened in Hampstead, north London thanks mainly to a £60,000 loan from the bank. In 2011, Luke Johnson's Risk Capital Partners invested £10.5 million in Gail's and the Bread Factory and currently own 60 percent of the business, whilst Molnar and Avidan own a combined 40 percent. As of February 2014, Gail's have more than 300 staff, 16 high street bakeries and one restaurant and have lucrative with Waitrose and Ocado.[1]
Letter to the Telegraph
On 1 April 2015 Baldock was one of 103 business leaders who wrote to the Telegraph praising the British Conservative Party's economic policies and claiming a Labour government would 'threaten jobs and deter investment' in the UK.[2]
